X2: Wolverine’s Revenge

The poor bastard may have to forever forego foreplay, but this hack-and-slash adventure proves that there aren’t many characters that translate better to a video game than a hairy dude with two fistfuls of knives. While most of Revenge’s game play involves turning bad guys into kebab, the game’s strict homage to the comic gives it more depth: Wolvie’s supersensitive nose helps ferret out danger, and his healing powers render Band-Aids and power-ups obsolete. Oddly enough, the Hugh Jackman–modeled hero is voiced by Mark Hamill. If combining those two into one mutant doesn’t strike fear in evil, we don’t know what will.
