A crack squad of mismatched recruits, each skilled in the likes of sharpshooting and infiltration, is brought together to run tactical missions in the harshest, most unforgiving regions of the galaxy. Sounds like it’s all lock and load, right? Well, yes and no. Although you control each member of a four-man group (unless you invite three friends along), this surprisingly tough shooter opts for brains over brawn. Unlike the similarly constructed Halo, Force focuses on controlled teamwork and strategy, not reckless abandon and bloody carnage, as the key to success. True, storming enemy positions is an option, but with environments this wide-open, you’ll just get your ass handed to you by a heavily armed battalion of baddies (or asshole buddies) if you do. So look alive and stay frosty, soldier.
