If you’ve played any of the games based on the universally lauded TV mainstay The Simpsons, you’ll want to approach the playable version of Matt Groening’s Futurama with caution (and a pair of stink-retardant oven mitts). Take your pick from one-eyed babe Leela, robot Bender, or pizza boy Fry and unleash unique attacks and devastating one-liners (voiced by the show’s actors) that deliver a few titillating moments—Fry can pilot a giant chicken mech and gain new lives courtesy of the professor’s reanimation machine. It’s too bad that clunky controls and eh game play stay forever buried in a time lock of dull sloppiness. Is it ironic to go back to the days before this show about the future was cancelled? Affirmative. Is it fun? Negatory.
