The foundation of video game violence has been built on us killing aliens, but Destroy All Humans! is all about giving the E.T.'s a shot at revenge. As Cryptosporidium 137, you're sent to earth to pick up some human brain stems, only you wind up terrorizing a number of small towns instead. Besides doing damage with cool weapons like the Quantum Deconstructor, the Zap-O-Matic, and your spaceship’s Death Ray, Crypto can also control people’s minds, take human form for stealth, or use telekinesis to toss humans around like Frisbees. Set up like Grand Theft Alien, there are tons of missions to complete, though you can also just roam around, killing filthy humans and destroying their stuff. You can even watch Plan 9 From Outer Space at the drive-in. Inspired by ’50s sci-fi, Invader Zim, and Mars Attacks!, Destroy All Humans! is the feel good game of the summer—as long as you’re not an earthling.
