Like a cute girl with a beer, a great first-person shooter is a thing of beauty. And with intelligent enemies and lightning-fast action, playing F.E.A.R. is like watching Eva Longoria chugging Guinness in a bikini. But wipe that thought from your head, because you're going to need all your wits to defeat an army of super-soldiers smart enough to find cover. To make matters worse, some psychotic psychic keeps putting freaky images in your head. (Sadly, none of them involve Eva.) Thankfully, you can slow time, Matrix-style, to get out of the more harrowing battles, while the game's controls are smoother than Moby's head. Ready to take the crown from Half-Life 2, F.E.A.R. is the best thing to happen to PC's since the Dell Guy got busted for pot.
