Condemned: Criminal Origins

Much like The Killers, The Bravery, and U2, most of the 360's launch titles are just prettier versions of things we've seen before. Thankfully, there's Condemned, which, while not entirely original, still creatively mixes the first-person punching of Riddick with the jump-out-at-you frights of Doom 3 and the investigative thrills of the best CSI episode. But while its also good lookin', it's actually the brutally-realistic sound—like when you kiss someone upside the cranium with a lead pipe—that makes this more interesting (though much less cringe-inducing) than some pretty-boy rock band.
