Killzone on the PS2 came up short of "Halo-killer" status as Sony promised. But for all the critical flack it took, it really wasn't a bad game. (Grab a copy for $2 in the remainder bin at your local game store and see for yourself.) Liberation picks up where the PS2 game left off. Once again, you play as Templar, a dude with a talent for putting Helghast goons on ice. The gameplay objectives haven't really changed all that muchyou'll infiltrate enemy territory, rescue hostages, avoid landmines, slaughter countless Helghast, etc. But it's the game's switch to a third person perspective that feels oh so right. Run-and-gun gameplay has never lookedor feltso good. Couple a pick-up-and-play single-player campaign with some rad mulitplayer, and you've got yet another reason to be glad you spent $200 on that PSP.
