Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories

Hey brother, got a hundred hours to spare? Vice City Stories, like Liberty City Stories before it, again takes a familiar cityscape—this time, it's the Miami-esque Vice City—and shoehorns the entire fucking thing onto a tiny little UMD. Amazing! You play the game as Vic Vance, Lance Vance's brother (if you need to ask who Lance Vance is, we sentence you to 50 hours of community service with the original Vice City). Vic joins the Army, but when he's caught with a pound of reefer under his coat and a hooker in his stolen sports car (none of which is his fault) he has no choice but to take to the streets of Vice City to earn a buck. The gameplay can get sketchy at times—one of the early missions, which had us operating a fork lift in a burning warehouse, helped us to invent new swear words like "fuckass-hellshit." And, beneath the weight of the big game world, the poor PSP does more groaning than a DPed porn star. Still, the '80s soundtrack and the knee-slapping comedy — seriously, we grabbed our bellies a few times—make the occasional boner mission worth tolerating.
