Remember that time in college when you spilled your hookah water into your Genesis and sparks flew everywhere, and your blanket caught fire and the fire department came, and while they were putting out the fire they saw your charred hookah, and they told you that luckily they were in a good mood or else they would report you to the cops? Ah, memories. This disc should induce plenty of these 'Nam-style flashbacks for you. Here are 28 vintage Genesis titles, including Sonic the Asshog (er, Fudgehog) (er, Hedgehog; sorry), Shinobi III, Virtua Fighter 2, and Altered Beast ("Rise from your grave!"). Other titles, like Vectorman and Sword of Vermillion, don't exactly qualify as bona fide "classics," but they're kind of fun anyway. The whole thing is done up with lots of love—look for trivia, secret game info, and interviews with the game's now old-fart developers. And you get all this goodness for less than the price of a nickle bag circa 1989.
