Nintendo should really just scratch the words Excite Truck off the box cover and call it simply "HOLYCRAP." No game on the Wii or the PS3 has hoovered up our free time the past week quite like HOLYCRAP did. Who knew that driving a 4x4 over hill and dale while using the Wiimote as a steering wheel—hold it perpendicular to the TV and drive it like you stole it—could be so fucking exhilarating? Your truck coughs up magical stars depending on how much awesomeness you bring to bear on a course. Pulling off a sweet drift, or throwing your Sanford and Son-type truck off a cliff, or even crashing into a tree makes stars. Getting the hang of "turning" the Wiimote takes time, so keep plenty of drugs/booze handy to soften that learning curve. But stick with it, and you too will become a HOLYCRAP addict.
