Crackdown inverts ye old Grand Theft Auto formula. Instead of stepping into the shoes of an underworld, hooker-grubbing sleazebag, you're a painfully moral, bionic crime fighter. Your task: to rid the banally named city of Pacific City of its banal criminals. As usual, the game's gangs come in three predictable varieties: Russian, Hispanic, and Chinese. Give your stats a boost by collecting orbs, and soon you'll be leaping tall buildings in a single bound and juggling motor vehicles like that dill weed Justin Timberlake juggles the hussies. The fire fights with gang bosses are interesting at first. But by the latter stages of the game, we were having such a fine time just bounding around the city and blowing shit to smithereens that we completely forgot all about the game's missions. And our hygiene.
