Break out the face paint and the cheap suds: It's time for some college football, kids. While it lacks the whole we-just-got-back-from-a-sex-cruise vibe that permeates Madden, this year's NCAA manages to out-hustle its older, pervier brother. There's so much to like here. You begin the game as an undersexed, pimple-covered high school star. Play well enough in the State Finals, and you'll get courted by college coaches offering free sneakers and subscriptions to the Spice Channel. Making big plays motivates your entire team. And our new favorite feature: being able to fast-forward through the snooze-inducing defensive segments of the game. Now, if only the game came packaged with souvenir Joe Paterno Coke-bottle-thick Eyeglasses and a tube of Joe Paterno Hair Shellac, or maybe just a cheerleader skirt we could sniff on Friday nights, we'd really have something to cheer about here.
