Man, 2K Sports really knows how to make virtual ice. Seriously. You have to see the ice in this game. It's so shiny, you can practically see your bloated video-game-playing self reflected in it. It's that good. New this year: Instead of the face buttons, you'll use the analog sticks and the bumpers to control your slap-shot-happy toothless wonders. The left stick drives you around the ice, while the right maps out how your stick will move. (In other words, it's the same exact scheme that EA's game uses.) Scores are tougher to come by this year. You no longer can just go into asshole-mode and fly around the ice checking the hell out of people. Blowouts? Forget about it. So which of the two hockey sims should you choose? Pucked if we know.
