Having digested Super Mario Galaxy—burp!—we find ourselves once again more open-minded when it comes to all things Mario. We-a love you again, little plumber! You are-a off-a our shit-a list-a! Unfortunately, this cart kind of blows. We've never been big fans of "party" games in general, preferring to do our gaming alone in the dark with plenty of alcohol and pornographic material surrounding us. But this game begs for a crowd, and is pretty much useless without one. Game play is centered around Mario-themed board games, where players—either human or A.I.-controlled—roll virtual dice, and then square off in various minigame challenges. With plenty of blow-into-the-microphone, hop-and-bop challenges, it does feel like it belongs on the DS. Just not on our DS.
