Like Bette Midler, mixed martial arts, and TV's Prison Break, either you're a drooling, babbling fan of Smash Bros., or you're utterly mystified by all the fucking fuss. There is no in-between. Curious? Here's the Smash Bros. recipe: Take a traditional fighting game, add in some platforming elements, include obscure, semi-obscure, and utterly obscure character from every Nintendo game ever made, and voilà, you've got yourself a video game that makes the nipples of fan boys automatically auger their way through their T-shirts. Featuring online multiplayer—a first for the series—and several who-fucking-invited-you-to-this-party guest stars, including Solid Snake and Sonic the Hedgehog, Brawl gives the lovers more to love. And it gives the haters more to hate.
