Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3

The Skinny: Pick from three bellicose badasses and fight your way to the evil General Ratiev's base in single player or online with two other buddies.

The Good: You won't find any shortage of huge explosions here. From the grenades to the gun upgrades to the M-Crash (which destroys everything on the screen), there are lots of ways to make your enemies more dead.

The Bad: Taking a page from its brother Smash TV and retarded-but-never-spoken-about sister Rocketmen: Axis of Evil, Commando 3 doesn't really take top-down shooters into any new direction. You'll kill lots of the same kinds of enemies over and over again, but you'll quickly get over that schtick. If you try adding two more players and doing the whole three-player online co-op, you'll be rewarded with some awe-inspiring glitches.

Terminat-ugh: The main character, Wolf, is Arnold Schwarzenegger minus the Austrian accent, corny one-liners, and everything else that makes the Terminator not annoying.

Buy, Rent, or Disembowel? For 10 bucks, it's a good hour-long distraction. But unless you want all 200 gamer-score points on Xbox Live, you probably won't want to revisit it once you're finished.
