The Skinny: OK, so you really, really like Hellboy. You’ve read the comics, saw the first movie, and you may find yourself cruising through the local game shop and give a thought at buying this video game tied into the upcoming sequel. Don’t. Do. It.

The Good: Ha. Next?

The Bad: Unless you have any special relationship with your 360’s X-button, you’re going to be bored to tears during 90 percent of this game. The other 10 percent of the time, you’ll be laughing at the horrible dubbing of Ron Perlman’s voice as he says random things like, “Ugly alert!” while fighting enemies. Couple that with the clipping issues, and the herky-jerky movements of the main characters and enemies, and the overall dull environments you fight in, and an incoherent story, and…ugh. Who do we call for our three hours back?

WTF: Right from the start, you're attacked by imps that sound like screeching primates. If Konami grouped a bunch of monkeys together in a small room and beat them with wooden sticks to record yelps for the soundtrack, we may give this thing a half-star just on sheer originality.

Buy, Rent, or Disembowel? Disembowel. This boy should’ve stayed in hell.
