Given that its roughly as cheap as Metallicas Kill Em All on cassette, we couldnt help feeling skeptical about this bargain-bin vehicular war game. And its true: Seek and Destroy has no strategy, no special effects, and no fancy soundtrackbasically, the game boils down to a beefed-up edition of the addicting mano-a-mano warfare in Atari 2600 Combat. But while the kill-and-kill-again objective may be low in frills, the simple, straightforward action is a welcome break from a sea of complex games that currently take longer to set up than to play. For only 10 bucks, its a cheap and fun way to be young, dumb, and entertained in front of your computer alone for hours. And youll still have enough money left over to book Jason Newsted for your next piss break.
