While it sometimes seems like every PSP game is just a low-rent version of the PS2 build, there are some standout exceptions, like the tactical third-person shooter SOCOM 3. While both have you teaming up with your fellow SEALs to take out terrorists and rescue hostages, Fireteam features simpler targeting controls as well as unique missions and multiplayer battles. Some engagements are set during SOCOM 3 missions, but with you leading a different SEAL team with its own objectives. Players of both games can even link together their PSP and PS2, which will change conditions in one game's missions, depending on what you've done in the others. The console and portable SOCOMs may look the same, but like the Olsen twins, they're different enough that you won't be satisfied with just one.
