Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

For Star Wars fanatics, this sequel couldn’t have garnered more hype (or taken longer to complete) if it was another Death Star. But the Force is strong with this polished first-person shooter: As galactic good guy Kyle Katarn, you employ everything from high technology to Jedi mind tricks against the Empire’s most nearsighted minions. There are firefights and lightsaber duels to soothe the savage Wookie, and ample opportunities to test untapped Jedi powers such as x-ray vision. (Which way to Amidala’s dressing room?) Though the subject’s a little stale, this latest Star Wars game stands above its competitors like Darth Vader straddling Luke Skywalker, taunting, “Who’s your daddy?”
