Pop culture usually depicts aliens as cuddly space moppets or anally fixated reptilian sadists. So it’s a refreshing change of pace to take control of the five extraterrestrial jackasses who crash to earth in this goofy adventure game. Their mission: Get off the planet and escape an evil scientist hellbent on dunking them in formaldehyde. With truly, er, stellar animation and vocal acting (featuring Dan Castellaneta, the voice of TV’s Homer Simpson), the game’s potty-humor sensibility lends it a Bugs Bunny-on-orange-sunshine feel. Though the point-and-click (and wait) interface makes it feel more like an interactive cartoon than an actual game, you’ll be easily won over by Invaders’ cast of urinating, booger-picking space twits. Beam us up, Snotty!
