When we first saw that the new, long-awaited Zelda starred a sickeningly cute, cartoony Link, it was enough to send us running back to dust off the original. But after begrudgingly pushing the power button to try out what we were sure would be the biggest disappointment since shock and awe, we cant bring ourselves to turn it off. Playing this addictive adventure is like controlling your favorite Saturday morning cartoon, without all the insipid voiceovers. Yeah, youll have to button through a bombardment of thought balloons, but most of the story is conveyed through masterful animation and acute facial expressions. Wed like to tell you more, but weve simply got to get out of this tunic and into a dry blue potion. Please dont tell anyone about this.
