This Week in Gaming: February 2

Another week means another pile of video games arriving at your local store. Here is our quick and dirty guide to navigating your 60 dollars toward something better than a polished turd.

White Knight Chronicles International Edition (PS3)
Price: $59.99 | Official Site
What It's About: On the heels of its success in Japan, Level-5 and Japan Studio are finally bringing the 2008 RPG title stateside. Players are thrust into the shimmering gauntlets of Leonard, a village boy who discovers an ancient armor that turns him into the slicing-and-dicing White Knight. After the kingdom's princess is kidnapped, he must scour the mythical land of Balandor and beyond to come to her rescue and fight off the Dark Knight. (Unfortunately, not that Dark Knight.)

Star Trek Online (PC)
Price: $49.99 | Official Site
What It's About: After numerous failures launching the series into the land of video games, the new Star Trek MMORPG allows fans of the series to finally get their Klingon. (Get it? Kling on. Okay, forget it.) Set up shop as captain of your own ship (either with the United Federation of Planets or the Klingon Empire), and explore the vast unknown while battling enemy forces in intergalactic warfare. We're not too thrilled of the whole "infinite exploration" aspect—think World of Warcraft, but for even nerdier nerdlings—but riding around aboard our very own Starship Enterprise at least sounds cool.

TOPICAL BARGAIN BIN PICK OF THE WEEK
Lost: Via Domus (Xbox 360, PS3)
Price: $12.52 @ Amazon | Official Site
What It's About:
Can't get enough Lost? Ubisoft understands. With the new (and final) season of the series upon us, fans should run to their nearest Best Buy and search for this diamond in the rough. It's no Assassin's Creed 2 or anything, but it's not a rehash of the TV show, either. You play the previously unseen character Elliot, a photojournalist who wakes up from the fateful plane crash with no recollection of anything. Traverse the island and find clues to his past in order to escape intact.
