This Is What The Mass Effect 2 Cast Looks Like

Bioware, makers of video game magic (Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic), have finally pushed the 'confirm' button for the voice talent in the much anticipated sequel to the spacestastic Mass Effect series. And, we'll be the first to say they're out of this world.

Tricia Helfer, last seen on the cover of the November issue of Maxim, will be the voice of EDI, the voice of protagonist Commander Shepard's ship, the SSV Normady. "Please stand clear of the airlock doors" will never sound sexier.

Wait, there's more! Buy the game at launch, and Bioware will throw in two additional hotties at no extra charge. Carrie-Anne Moss (Matrix) once again enters nerd relevance, playing Aria T'Loak, a crime lord who rules the planet Omega. (We think it's next to Mercury.) Chuck's Yvonne Strahovski (see Slave Leia outfit above) voices an operative in the evil Cerberus organization and is genetically engineered for superior mental and physical traits. With a body like that, we'd have to say she fits the role perfectly.

Other notable celebs donating their vocal chords include actors Martin Sheen (playing mysterious antagonist The Illusive Man), Seth Green reprising his role as airship pilot Joker, and the ubiquitous Keith David, who is following up his work on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Shohreh Aghdashloo (X-Men: The Last Stand, FlashForward), Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica), and Adam Baldwin (Chuck) will also make their voices heard.

Mass Effect 2 will be available on the Xbox 360 and PC on January 26, 2010.
