Before you dismiss the bazillionth sequel to this nerve-jangling, first-person shooter as a means to add more red interstates to your already road-mapped eyeballs, read on. Yeah, the game features all the twitchy, multiplayer modes with the usual arsenal of lethal hardware. But the addition of Mighty, Assault, and Onslaught modes upgrade the action from a spazzy bloodbath to a more thoughtful, strategic bloodbath—badass tanks and flying vehicles even make their way into the mix. Also, be sure to appreciate the tastiest visual detail you’ve ever seen: The vegetation is so lush, you’ll want to make a salad out of it…provided you’re willing to serve your own entrails as the entrée.
