War of the Monsters

If you think the Rock and his juiced-up ilk need a good ol’ fashioned squashin’, step on up to War of the Monsters. Take control of Godzilla-size radioactive insects, apes, and reptiles, and body-slam your creature opponents around highly detailed scale models of entire cities (including—eeek—Tokyo!). The battles themselves are chaotically free-for-all, allowing up to four monsters to grapple hand-to-hand and even rip up handy lampposts, buildings, and cars to bludgeon enemies. Although that famous Japanese fire lizard doesn’t actually make an appearance (he’s got his own game), War of the Monsters has a B-movie feel that’ll evoke those great Sunday afternoon matinees—if you can smell what the colossal mutant cockroach is cooking.
