Gina Carano Gets Ready to Rumble

Not since Scary Sherri and Miss Elizabeth catalyzed the rift between Macho Man Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan have we been this intrigued in the prospects of two women beating the snot out of each other. But, when one corner is populated by No. 16 on our 2009 Hot 100 list and the other by a girl nicknamed "Cyborg," we're already clearing our calendars for August 15. The papers have been signed and training regimens are already underway for STRIKEFORCE's mid-summer title fight between the undefeated hottie and her opponent, Cris "Cyborg" Santos, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.

"I’ve wanted this fight with Cyborg for a long time and so have the fans so it was important to me that it happen in my first fight back," said the 27-year-old Carano. "I’ve been training hard the last few months and come August 15, I will be in the best shape of my life."

One thing is for sure: Unlike our practically physically disabled editor, Gina's 23-year-old opponent is no pushover. The Brazilian has a 7-1 record and is considered to be one of the top striking female athletes.

In Carano's own words: "This fight will absolutely deliver on all the hype."
