Where you’ve seen her: Since releasing her debut album in 1998, Mya has morphed from sweet to supersexy. She slipped into a corset for "Lady Marmalade" and even less in the movie musical Chicago. She also had roles in Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, Shall We Dance, and Cursed.
Mother of all turnoffs: “When I did the 'Lady Marmalade' video, it was strange because my mom was there, and I'm standing around with a whip in my hand and my crotch in the crowd's face. In fact, I'm pretty sure I would've gotten a little nastier and a little grittier if my mom hadn't been there. Which could've been why she was there.”
You're so vain: “I'm like, 'You're not the first and you're not the last. So no, it's not about you.' I've had arguments actually about a few songs where a guy has thought a lyric is about him or something was strong that was very similar or parallel to our situation or a fight or an argument.”
We'll wait for you… “There's no book on how to grow up; it's different for every woman, and you are ultimately going to have to live with the decisions you make. So at a certain point in my life I might be ready to be buck naked on the cover of a magazine.”
