During the recent Venice Film Festival premiere of The Men Who Stare at Goats, men were staring mostly at George Clooney's date, Elisabetta Canalis. Known throughout her native Italy as "La Canalis" or "Eli" (which we're pretty sure translates to "so freakin' hot she makes you want to punch yourself in the prosciutto"), Elisabetta first made a name for herself as a showgirl on the whacked-out TV hit Striscia la Notizia. (Think of some crazed melding of a late night show, giant talking puppets, and bevies of women prancing about in lingerie, and you get the picture.) From there Elisabetta went on to pose in dozens of ad campaigns, appear on MTV Italy's Total Request Live, and star in her own best-selling calendar (thank you, Google image search!, making her the most wanted target of the Italian paparazzi. Up next for the olive-skinned sexpot? If there is a God, she'll take an interest in magazine publishing and apply for an internship here at Maxim. But judging by the reception she received on the red carpet and the gushing comments made by bloggers who flooded the Web with her glorious image, we can only hope and pray and make blood offerings that a Hollywood career is about to be made. Don't forget the little people (i.e., us), Elisabetta!

Hey George Clooney lives the ''Life of Riley''. Hes a confirmed batchelor getting superior ''cake'' and is also a fine actor. His admission that he even goes to the most naughtiest places doing the whole gamut shows hes the ultimate Alpha Dog. Oh to be GEORGE!!!!

all these beautiful women and all this INK. megan fox and angelina jolie are too pretty for words. why they ruin the image with tat's is sad. clooney's new bombshell has followed suit. maybe i'm just too old fashioned but sophia and ava did'nt tat-up and no female was more beautiful than them. a hidden tat is sexy but the signboard's are for the roadside's.

I agree with William. Tattoos can turn the most beautiful woman from "classy" to "trashy". What will the tats look like when they get older, grow up, maybe have to get a "real" job or change their mind...

Cool & Gang wrote a song that fits this woman perfectly, the song is called "Fresh" she is most defininetly Fresh&Exciting! If they remake the movie pretty woman she should be the one they cast as he lead. What a beautiful face, smile, hair but the eyes are what captures you in this photo...a Photographers dream!

I agree with Mimi and William. Why do beautiful women mess-up their body with those ugly tattoos? If it's something personal and on a private spot no problem but indeed those wallboard tattoos is more a call for attention: "Look I've tattoos too now I am somebody!" It's a waste...

Elisabetta is certainly a stunning beauty. So, I ask, why would she defame her body by getting those ugly tattoos? They only take away from the beauty and contribute to making her look cheap. However, I'll bet George knows she is definately NOT cheap.

She's 'trashy' for having visible tattoos? WTF? We can see some of her tats in these pics 'cuz she's gorgeous enough to show off that much skin. Better than the lame-ass tats you see on celebs like the Beckhams, or Megan Fox's cheesy Marilyn Monroe tat (next time you want a portrait tat, go to Kat Von D, not an Etch A sketch artist!).
