Where You’ve Seen Her: Since she’s one of the hottest ladies on Earth, it’s tough not knowing who Kate Beckinsale is. With starring roles in Pearl Harbor (2001), Van Helsing (2004) and the first two Underworld movies (2002, 2006), she’s made quite a name for herself, especially among the geek set. In her new flick, Whiteout (in theaters September 11), she plays a U.S. deputy marshal trying to uncover the truth behind a murder in Antarctica.

Cigarette Conversationalist: “I try and take lots of vitamins, and I don’t drink. I do smoke, though; I’d be insufferable if I didn’t smoke. You’d have to push me off a balcony I’d be so boring.”
