Behind the model: “I’m young and adventurous and up for anything,” declares this native of South Africa. Curiously, Lisa credits her wild streak to the convent schools she attended growing up. “If you coop girls up and don’t show them any direction as far as men are concerned, they’re bound to rebel. I cut classes all the time to hang out with boys. I guess I’m still a bit wild and crazy.” The high life: “I’m a bad morning person, but I’m a good night owl. Maybe it has something to do with my Swedish ancestry and the fact that they don’t have any sun there. I love going out. I’m from such a small community that it’s fun to be anonymous and not be judged when I go out in New York.” Extra exposure: Lisa is making public transportation more attractive in Guess? ads on the sides of buses in several cities. Tales from the shoot: “The desert was gorgeous, but it got really freezing. I was in just a bikini, obviously, but luckily we had heaters and someone brought me a robe.” A good night out: “I grew up on the beach, so that’s like my sanctuary. I’d like to be with someone special on a favorite beach with a campfire and a picnic basket. And the weather doesn’t have to be clear, either; a stormy night would be more mysterious.”
