moments.jpgDust off your thesaurus, the editors of More Than a Few Good Men are looking for a few good men who want to contribute to their book of essays about what it means to be a man in America today. (Sorry Canada, you'll have to do your own book.)

The editors are so serious that they’re holding a national writing contest, which pays off with a $1,000 grand-prize booty and inclusion in the book, which comes out in spring 2010. The contest asks for manly scribes, ages 35 to 60, to submit an original essay (1,000-3,000 words) focused on a defining moment in his life.

Mad Men
creator Matt Wiener and Memories of a Geisha novelist Arthur Golden will be among the judges, as well as book contributors. Get all the contest particulars, and submit your essay, at their website. Then just sit back and imagine how proud your mom’s going to be.
