Miss California Carrie Prejean

 

Donald Trump, owner of the Miss USA pageant, has just declared that Carrie Prejean's topless pictures are OK! (Cue the "God Bless America" background music.) Democracy is safe. Celebrity Apprentice has its next star. Our faith in common sense is restored.

Trump said of the photos: "Some were beautiful, some were risqué. ... We've determined the pictures taken were acceptable, fine, and in many cases they were very lovely pictures." Lovely indeed.

In hindsight, it almost makes us wonder if the whole photo incident was nothing more than an elaborate faux brouhaha meant to draw attention to the pageant. Or maybe this is the beginning of a bizarre new partnership between Judge No. 8 (Perez Hilton) and The Donald: You leak photos, I hold press conference.

Ultimately all that matters is that sanity has prevailed, and we got to enjoy some mildly sexy photos of Carrie and our very own Maxim beauty/Miss Rhode Island Alysha Castonguay (see below). Thanks, Donald and Perez, for protecting our Constitutional right to enjoy PG-13 photos!
