Great article. You just left out the little detail about the food not tasting very good. No biggie.

I read this article in my maxim and there are a few errors. I found them out as I tried to order from the maxim posted Secret Menu. There are no roadkill fries nor is there a monkey style burger. With that said In-N-Out was more then happy to prepare the food as discribed. Next time please exhibit better research prior to providing your subscribers with a bogus menu.

This article has put my life at a standstill. I miss living in Vegas & having Double Doubles anytime I wanted them! All I want is In-n-Out now!!!
Plus, it's a good thing I'm not pregnant because I'd be very angry at you guys! Catching a plane from NY to Vegas is rather costly when it's solely for a burger!

Neal Pollack, go back to wherever you came from-- obviously you're not a Californian. There is NO SUCH THING as Monkey Style on the In-n-out Secret Menu. You're "Secret Menu" was a total failure.

I work at in n out and there is no such thing as a monkey burger or road kill, many people who have come in the last couple of days trying to order have been very dissapointed that this is false information.

I've ordered Monkey Style two times. Im a long time subscriber and actually got into an argument with a chick in Barstow at the IN-N-OUT drive thru. My hangover needed a monkey style burger, yet...IT DOESNT EXIST! Thanks for screwing up an already perfect burger.

Way to completely not research your article. Good job! In-n-out doesn't even make their own buns let alone have fresh ones everyday. True they try to get them less than a few days old but considering the bakery is called Puritan Bakery in Carson, CA you can't really have them delivered every day. Also you used to be able to order any size of burgers. I have personally assembled a 250x250 (i.e, 250 meat patties and 250 cheese patties) for a corporate anniversary but it gets ugly and people dont want to eat somethig that looks like it is swimming in oil. Just order meat patties by cheese (i.e, a double single 2x1 is 2 meet and 1 cheese).

I am deeply amused by this article. I spend 7 months in SoCal in late '07/early '08 and ate at 2 In-N-Outs during that time. I found their burgers purley average. When I questioned the locals as to why THEY were so Ga-Ga over In-N-Out, I received 2 identical responses, "They're better than McDonalds!" I challenge that!!!
When I next return to SoCal, I hope to find one of the restaurants you so enthusiastically described to prove my experience was atypical.

the Road Kill and Monkey Fries were from my blog- http://fantastmenu.blogspot.com
Maxim interviewed me and I assured them everything on my list was pure imagination and satire. They must have gotten them confused in the final edit of the article.
I think its hilarious a bunch of people have been trying to order them!
makes me proud!
