Stupid Fun by Justin Halpern and Jesse Thompson
Filed under: bad comics, bad comic strips, morning funnies updated
Believe it or not, the funnies still exist, and are just as mundane and dated as ever. But what if these seemingly innocent comic strips weren’t a source of escapism, but rather a commentary on what’s really happening out there in the world? They’d be a lot more depressing … and somehow a lot funnier.
Here are seven strips from the Maxim Syndicate.

Hagar the Horrible

Hi & Lois

The Family Circus

Peanuts

Dennis the Menace

Beetle Bailey

Really?? This is the best that a "premier" men's magazine can come up with? No wonder your only readers are in the 12-14 year old demographic.
Send your staff home to read a couple of issues of Playboy to get a sense of what grown-ups find witty. If I had a subscription, this would have canceled it.
