R.I.P. Captain Lou Albano

 

Wrestling icon and TV personality Captain Lou Albano was pronounced dead today under hospice care at his home; he was 76. The man who made a bold fashion statement with rubber bands  - and tried to keep Cyndi Lauper from having fun  - was a beloved entertainer, not just for his larger-than-life personality in and outside of the squared circle, but for his stint as Mario on the live-action segments of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show.
