Really sad Maxim... what's the matter? Cracked has more entertaining and funny content than you? You realize that half the things you nag them about you do worse right? just making sure. Actually everything except the 7,000 word one you do in a worse and more lowest common denominator way. The only reason you don't do the 7,000 word one is because you can't get through 150 words without showing an ad for edibile bikinis, or your newest list of hollywood babes and their cellphones.

Wow, Maxim. Must be tough circling the bowl as a brand, so now you spend time crying about CRACKED?? Poor, sad Maxim. Let me understand something: We're clear on the fact that no one would even bother with your brand if it wasn't for the photos of women, right? You DO realize that no one ever reads the same 10 articles you republish ever 3 months, right? The thing I can't don't get is that, since paper magazines are now a dead format, what exactly do you offer on your site that draws visitors? The tiny jpegs of celebrities in bikinis? News flash: it's not 1995 anymore. Good luck surviving. Time to re-publish that article on how to hide the good beer at a frat party, (Oh, and BTW, before you say, "well, YOU came to our site," I didn't. The link popped up on an aggregator without "maxim" in the title.)

Looking at these comments, I find it tragically funny that my fello Cracked readers don't get that both sites are having a friendly poke at each other. Lighten up and take a joke.

Nice literacy, guys. It's "If Cracked.com WERE honest". When you're talking about something hypothetical or contrary to fact, you use the subjunctive. But you don't even need to know what it's called; you should be able to hear that "was" is wrong.

Looking at Ghost's comments, I find it tragically funny that some people still leave holier-than-thou "i get the joke and you don't" comments to make themselves seem smart. Cracked wrote a funny parody of the way-past-dead Maxim, and Maxim wrote an unfunny, slapdash comeback. I agree with the poster above: Maxim's days are numbered, and this is just another example of the desperation. Now THAT'S tragically funny.

I reviewed them both and frankly, although less work went into it, the Maxim parody was funnier. But, both parties were lazy, because they didn't do the work and write the linked stories. But, then again, that might be unintended realism...

I thought this was supposed to be a parody. It looks too much like the real Cracked: unfunny, out of date and lame. Even the comments look like they're written by some of the same people.
