Where is it? Alyeska Resort is nestled against the awe-inspiring Chugach Mountains. Offering year-round adventures and activities, Alyeska is located just 40 miles south of Anchorage, AK in the town of Girdwood, a quick 40 minute drive from Ted Steven’s International Airport.

The Hotel? The Hotel Alyeska is a 300 room, four star hotel and Alaska’s premier destination property offering guests luxurious accommodations with convenient access to the magnificent Alaskan wilderness. In the summer months The Hotel Alyeska is the Alaskan base camp with quick access to the Kenai Peninsula for day cruises, fishing trips and flight seeing. In the winter months Alyeska receives an average of 650 inches of snowfall while 2,500 vertical feet of diverse terrain and short lift lines keeps skiers and riders coming back for more.

The Suite? The Royal Suite is located on the top floor of The Hotel Alyeska. At 1,275 square feet the suite features a two level parlor with a 270 degree view of the Turnagain Arm, Chugach Mountains and several hanging glaciers in the Girdwood Valley. The Master bedroom features a king size bed, a walk in closet, marble bathroom with oversized bath and separate shower. The parlor has leather furniture, entertainment system and larger kitchen area. Guests can choose the add-on option for a two bed summit room for extra capacity. The Royal Suite at Alyeska has been enjoyed by Harrison Ford, Paula Dean, Daniel Tosh and Iceland’s President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson.

The Selling Point? In the winter months the parlor can provide breath taking views of the aurora, surrounding mountains and ocean. This is also where you come to feel like royalty after a big day of powder skiing or after an epic summer adventure.

By the Numbers: 1,275 square feet, two bedrooms, one stylish marble bathroom and endless views of the surrounding area. [$1,500/night; book atwww.alyeskaresort.com]
