Study Finds Frequent Emoji Users Are the Horniest of All

You know who you are.

Do you love emojis and sex? Coincidence? I think not.

According to a new survey by Match.com, frequent emoji use suggests constant sexual thoughts, which makes sense to everyone who loves the eggplant or peach emoji.

The survey, which polled 5,675 singles, showed that 40% of people who think about sex multiple times a day drown their texts in emojis and use them in every text, while those who only think about sex once a day are less generous with their emoji use and only throw one in every now and then. Basically, the hornier you are, the more emojis you use. So, if someone texts you an emoji, it probably means they’re thinking about sex. Maybe.

A 2014 study also found that 54% of singles who used emojis while texting had more sex than the 31% of singles who stuck to good old-fashioned words, suggesting that emojis may be a serious turn on. Kissy face-poop emoji-banana? Soooo hot. Move aside, Netflix and chill. It’s all about emoji and hang, now.

The most popular emojis among single men? The kissy face and the heart-shaped eyes. However, as with most things in life, men and women disagree on the perfect emoji to represent your junk. A 2015 study by Dr. Ed reveals that women prefer to send and receive the banana emoji, while guys lean more in favor of the robustly-shaped eggplant. Who’s shocked?

“[Emoji users] want to give their texts more personality,” Helen Fisher, the mastermind behind the study published earlier this year, told Time magazine. “Emoji users don’t just have more sex, they go on more dates and they are two times more likely to get married.”
