THE SKINNY After 10 whole months of banging on those old Rock Band drums, it's time to upgrade your skins. There's no better time to do that than with Rock Band 2 now on store shelves and there's no better way to do that than with the Ion Drum Rocker.

Price: $129 (After all of that fancy contractual magic that all cell phone companies do)
The skinny: Sprint's slick entry into the touchscreen smartphone game gives non-AT&T (or T-Mobile) users something to get fingerprints all over.
The good: Everytime you actually press something on the screen the phone vibrates ever so slightly, providing the little bit of tactile feedback the iPhone desparately lacks. The true GPS didn't get me lost, the screen feels roomy and the touchscreen is extremely easy to figure out. Our download speeds were fast enough that we wouldn't mind actually using the thing to look stuff up or buy movie tickets. Plus, it's small and extremely light, which is good since it'll probably be glued to your hand 20 hours a day. It also comes with two interchangeable batteries which is a big plus.

Price: $56.99 on Amazon
The skinny: Wireless headphones have a long and well-earned history of being huge, heavy and delivering the sound quality of a can attached to a string, but Cardo's newest headset provides fairly high quality performance for a price tag that's lower than the other guys.

BUY IT HERE
The skinny: Gateway's surprisingly affordable new rig is packing enough firepower to satisfy even the most hardcore entertainment junkies.
The good: Get ready, there's a lot. The Core 2 Duo processor and 4GB RAM combo are good enough that they show off how Vista is supposed to run on a capable machine. The hard drives (two 7200 RPM 160GB drive in a RAID 0 configuration) are incredibly fast and responsive, which is great for gaming and video editing. The NVIDIA GeForce Go 8800M GTS is more than enough firepower, even for gamers, and it ran Unreal Tournament III without a hitch. Unfortunately, it couldn't help the fact that I totally suck at it. The 17-inch screen looks great at 1920 x 1200, assuming that you can find enough HD content to put on it. Also, you have to give it credit for being a capable gaming machine without feeling the need to attach 65,000 neon lights all over the place. It ran exceptionally cool, enough so that you can use it on your lap without worrying about frying up your sperm like some kind of sick, reproductive stir fry.

It's exciting when a new piece of tech shows up in the mailman's sack, but sometimes a new food item can be just as interesting. This Loaded Steakhours Burger didn't exactly come in the "mail," but it was delivered directly to me by the BK folks, so I think it's only fair to give it a review. It's their new permanent menu item and it involves a steak burger "topped with two slices of melted American cheese, A.1. Thick & Hearty sauce, crispy smoked bacon, crispy onions and [get ready for the WTF] a loaded baked potato topping all on a premium bakery bun." Yes, there are potatoes on the burger. Take the link for full review of the deliciousness and more pictures that will make your lunch seem crappier than it already is.
