Accepted

Slackers, rejoice! Accepted makes the comedy honor roll for being inventive and riotously funny. It's Animal House meets Ferris Bueller for a new generation—but so much more. Justin Long (a disciple of the Michael J. Fox School of Acting) is an academically challenged loon who convinces his parents he's been accepted into a college by making one up. When the plan careens out of control and hundreds of likeminded rejects come to enroll he is thrust into being the dean of dumbasses. Rated PG-13, Accepted lacks the edge of some of its predecessors, but the amusing premise and the engaging outcasts make this late summer offering harmless fun. It's hard to imagine a more winning group of ragtag losers.
