Alien vs. Predator

Release Date:

MPAA Rating:
MPAA: PG-13
Star Rating:
★★★½
Pesky humans discover an underground pyramid in Antarctica and investigate, only to realize it’s the ritual temple for the Predators, who’ve been breeding Aliens for fun and hunting them for sport. (Kinda like the WNBA, only with fluorescent blood.) With a fine premise in place, the next 90 minutes are spent blowing things up and killing off most of the characters. As for the extras, it all depends: Do you like comic books? If the answer is yes, you’ll love the featurettes (once you’re done hyperventilating), which include 65 of the original comic book covers and a making-of documentary about the comic books. If the answer is no, you’ll have to settle for director’s commentary and a never-before-seen alternate beginning.
