So this is the movie that got grandpa aroused. Not bad. (The movie, not grandpa.)

The Pitch: A super sexy space traveler (Jane Fonda) goes on a mission to rescue something somewhere.

What It Really Is: Released in 1968, this is Flash Gordon with boobs. Forget all the weird stuff Jane Fonda has done politically, the moment you see her writhing around on shag carpet in skimpy space outfits having lots of orgasms, you’ll fall in love. Short of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, this is as campy as movies get. But if you just tune out the goofiness and focus on the sexiness and trippy visuals, it’ll open up a whole new universe. In your pants.

It’s Rated PG: If only we could return back to a time when this much nudity and sexual innuendo could still get a PG rating. MPAA, you’ve ruined the world.

Does Blu-ray Make a Difference? Yes. Quality-wise, it looks and sounds outstanding, making the cheap sets and horrible effects that much more fun. Too bad they didn’t include any legit extras.
