If you haven't had your fill of spooked young boys in the movies, go ahead and check out the miscarried Birth. But for the rest of you nonclergy, this is a complete waste of time. Anna (Nicole Kidman with a boy's haircut) has finally gotten over her first husband's death and is marrying a new man after 10 years. But right before the wedding, little Sean shows up (Cameron Bright from Godsend) on Anna's doorstep claiming to be her dead husband reincarnated. As she tests him on more and more intimate details, the boy goes from comic nuisance to wedding wrecker to annoying child actor the likes of which we haven't seen since Haley Joel Osment. Mistaking suspense for long pauses without dialogue and extended off-camera stares, this deliberate thriller has nowhere to go and doesn't even rush getting there. Aside from the awkward kisses between Kidman and her tiny costar, this is worse than Jimmy Fallon's birth.
