The Skinny: This is a super-deluxe edition of Wes (Rushmore, The Life Aquatic) Anderson's debut feature, starring the brothers Wilson (Owen, Luke) as wannabe crooks on the lam in the remote reaches of Texas.

The Good: This movie is the definition of "dry humor," but make no mistake—it's very funny. As you watch, remember that this was pretty much Owen Wilson's debut, too, and you can see all the potential he's blowing on lame romantic comedies and failed suicide attempts. When it comes to DVD presentation, "Criterion" is synonymous with "top of the line" and they deliver another beaut.

The Bad: If you don't really like Anderson's sense of humor, there's little to lure you to this disc. The initiated, however, will find this pretty flawless.

Best Extra: The inclusion of the original "Bottle Rocket" short film that spawned the movie is pretty great.

Buy, Rent, or Ignore: Again, this is a must-own for fans. Everyone else, at least give it a rental try-out. You're pretty likely to enjoy it.
