It’s a shame some teens still don’t watch scary movies, because much of this gory violence could be avoided. Cabin Fever takes classic horror movie conventions—by any means necessary, get these kids screwin’ and dyin’—and sicks ’em on a new batch of partying punks. Once our kids reach their isolated cabin in the woods to celebrate the end of exams, a mysterious woodsmen comes looking for help after contracting a flesh-eating virus. One by one, the infection begins to spread and we’re treated to blood, vomiting, and bloody vomiting. The boys are just stupid enough—and the girls absolutely hot enough—to keep the action moving in this campfire tale: Characters venture out on their own for help, locals can’t be trusted, and friends sell each other out at the drop of an infected limb. Nothing new here, just an updated horror flick abusing its R rating for as much blood and guts and tits as it can.
