Finally, a James Bond that could actually kick our ass. (Whatever, Pierce.) Daniel Craig was born to play the legendary spy, because he has a psychopathic mean streak that would even make Connery a little nervous. In this stylish Bond prequel of sorts, we get to see what make him tick. From his first kills to unthinkable torture, he must learn to stay on his mission, even though it's clear he's all about killing. It's much smarter and more deliberate than most Bond movies, pitting OO7 against a terrorist financier, but it's still loaded with action, suspense, and humor. The benefit of Blu-ray is that the extras are included on the same disc. The regular Casino Royale Two-Disc Special Edition requires you to get your ass off the couch and pop in another disc to access the three documentaries. Plus, Blu-ray was created for a movie like this, because the clarity could make you weep blood like Bond's poker villain. (There's nothing sinister about it, we assure you.)
