Chewbacca Is Sharing His Stash...Of Vintage "Star Wars" Photos

The nostalgia is strong with this one.

Over the weekend, Peter Mayhew, AKA, Chewbacca, the man inside the furriest of fury costumes, began tweeting a bunch of photos from the set of Star Wars. The exciting part for fans? Pretty much no one had ever seen any of them before. For a movie so exhaustively covered in everything from magazines to other movies, the fact that there are any photos out there we haven't seen before was something of a surprise, but they just kept coming. Check out some of the highlights below:
 

You can see the rest over at Mayhew's super-fun Twitter feed. Amazingly, he claims to still have over a thousand more photos in his archive from the filming of the original ONLY Star Wars trilogy. What can we expect in the future? Candid shots of the Emperor without his robe? A Post-It note with "Midi-Chlorians??" written on it, then furiously scribbled out and thrown in the trash? An explanation of what the hell was wrong with this dude's head? Who knows? But we're excited to find out.
