Jerry Seinfeld left the comedy world on top, now he’s lobbying for your attention again as he reconstructs his career—and unlike Michael Jordan, Garth Brooks, or tuberculosis, he’s making a pretty solid comeback. Comedian follows Seinfeld around with handheld cameras as he discusses the funny business with a host of regulars on the comedy circuit. The supplemental material on the DVD version provides even more raw footage of his off-stage persona. Commentary by the star joined by Colin Quinn has less to do with the filming of the movie and a whole lot more to do with those annoying stand-up foils—hecklers, drunk hecklers, and really drunk hecklers. In “Fresh Air Fund,” one of the deleted scenes that should probably have made the final cut of the movie, Jerry tries his material out at a benefit, while trying to figure out how to negotiate all of the “suits and stiffs” in the audience. There’s also an update on the other, no-name comedian struggling along throughout the film, Orny Adams, in a feature called “Where Is Orny Now?” Short answer from the man himself: “Who cares? Except for my parents.” Where’s this guy’s TV show?
