This movie is so cool, it doesn’t even care if you like it.
The Pitch: A getaway driver (Ryan Gosling) helps out his neighbor (Carey Mulligan) which puts him up against local mobsters (Albert Brooks, Ron Perlman).
What It Really Is: A slow-boiling noir about underground LA that just oozes cool...and lots of blood. Gosling barely speaks but the motherfucker definitely channels some old school Steve McQueen.
